Masaru Emoto was born in Yokohama in July 1943. He is a graduate of the Yokohama
Municipal University's department of humanities and sciences with a focus
on International Relations. In 1986 he established the IHM Corporation
in Tokyo. In October of 1992 he received certification from the Open International
University as a Doctor of Alternative Medicine. Subsequently he was introduced
to the concept of micro cluster water in the US and Magnetic Resonance
Analysis technology. The quest thus began to discover the mystery of water.
He undertook extensive research of water around the planet not so much
as a scientific researcher but more from the perspective of an original
thinker. At length he realized that it was in the frozen crystal form that
water showed us its true nature through. He has gained worldwide acclaim

Donna Carey, PhD, LAc
Donna Carey is co-founder of the International Institute of Harmonic Medicine and co-creator of the Acutonics® Healing System. She is a licensed acupuncturist, herbalist, sound healer, and educator. She was Clinical Dean of the Northwest Institute of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine where she created and administered more than 14 profitable inter-disciplinary community clinics and integrated the Acutonics Healing System into mainstream clinical settings. A leader in the discovery, development and application of new healing technologies, Donna was awakened to the power of sound after a near death experience, where she heard the Music of the Spheres. She has been in practice for more than a decade, creatively integrating sound and energy medicine into her clinical work, teaching and writing. Donna is co-author of Acutonics: the Planets, from Galaxies to Cells and Acutonics: There's No Place Like Ohm, Sound Healing and Oriental Medicine and the Cosmic Mysteries.
Jennifer Coffee is an associate editor at Sounds True, a multimedia publisher based in Colorado that publishes a dozen music titles per year. As a member of Sounds True’s acquisitions team, she has worked with a number of the world’s great sound healers and spiritual musicians, including Tibetan flutist Nawang Khechog, West Coast chant diva Wah!, Tom Kenyon, Chloë Goodchild, and Jonathan Goldman. Jennifer holds a B.A. in Music and Religious Studies and an M.A. in Buddhist Studies and Tibetan Language from Naropa University. A musician and composer in her own right, she sets traditional Buddhist chants to music both in their original languages and in translation, and also uses the guitar as a drone instrument to create what she calls “Buddhist Spirituals.” She firmly believes that music and sound are central to accomplishing her own life’s mission, which also happens to be the stated mission of Sounds True: “to inspire, support and serve continual spiritual awakening and its expression in the world.”

Ellen Franklin is co-founder of the International Institute of Harmonic Medicine, CEO of the Kairos Institute of Sound Healing, and President of Devachan Press. Ellen has directed efforts in human and organizational transformation, publishing and marketing. Her publishing company is dedicated to creating products that promote health, inner harmony and a deeper understanding of Sound Healing, Harmonic Medicine, and Energy Medicine. A Certified Practitioner and Teacher of the Acutonics System of Healing and Education, Ellen is currently at work on a new book and training program for Equine Acutonics.
Clare Hedin received her Masters Degree in Consciousness Studies from JFK University. She has been actively exploring the world of sound, vibration and Consciousness for over 20 years, as well as the human capacity for deep relationship with ourselves in life. She is an accomplished musician, singer and songwriter, with an array of CD's, playing both locally, in the Bay Area, and abroad. She spent the last two and a half years using music as a spiritual healing tool at the Oakland Children's Hospital and has a further background in various healing arts, including Reiki, Creative Visualization, Spiritual and Psychic Development.
Janalea Hoffman specializes in using a synthesis of music, relaxation and imagery for therapeutic purposes to allow for emotional and physical healing. The results of studying and working with the healing effects of music come through the compositions, providing you the needed relaxation. Janalea's primary interest lies in how music affects our bodies physiologically, and in developing specific techniques for using music to help lower heart rate and blood pressure and to help alleviate pain. She is known for developing the concepts of musical biofeedback, musical acupuncture, and music written at exactly 50 beats a minute. She has pioneered in the field and gone beyond just using music as background by developing specific therapeutic techniques.
